Mix and Match NEW SAT with OLD SAT?

I'm terribly dissapointed with my previous two SAT scores: 1420 Both Times. If you mix and match them, it adds up to 1490 which still misses the 1500 Mark. I'm going to have to take the new SAT anyways for the writing portion, so I was wondering if I could mix and match the new SAT's math and / or verbal sections with the old SAT's Math and / or Verbal sections.

Thanks.

I don't know because I will not be taking the new SAT, but I think the answer is "no" from what I've heard.

It depends on the college, of course. Most colleges are trying to be flexible (I'm assuming you're in the class of 2006) for our class, because of all the confusion; many of them will say they will take the highest math and verbal score from any of your tests (old or new). You should definitely check with the colleges to which you are thinking of applying though... of course, then again, I don't know if it matters at this point because what's done is done... and you know how much we're all looking forward to taking that new 4-hour long SAT! :)
