This is my first post, but I've been browsing for about two or so years, and now since I'm entering my senior year, I thought it would be a good time to start posting.

Anyway, I was wondering how colleges that require the ACT with writing approached tests taken without it? I don't mean mix/matching SUBSCORES, I mean if they take the composite into account.

I live in Illinois and got my scores from the April 26 testing, and I got a 33 composite. Only thing is, I'm applying ED to Boston University and they require writing. And while I am taking the ACT WITH writing in June, in the off chance that I score lower (like a 32), I'm wondering if they'll still look at the 33 at all.

The chances of me getting into BU are pretty good, since their average is about 28, but I'm definately definately definately hoping to get the half-tuition scholarship. The average ACT for that is about 32 or so, and while my GPA/class rank (I'm #1) and extra-curriculars are both pretty solid, that 33 could probably help me more than say a 32 would. I dunno, I just don't want all that hard work that I put into getting a 33 be in vain.

I rambled on long enough, but basically I'm just wondering if they'd take that 33 into account at all.
