Is it ok to have your recs be commonapp but then send in the actual Princeton application myself? Or vice-versa?

Also, is it ok to send in TWO recs from each recommender, one on the commonapp and one on the pton app? I still don't know which I'll be doing and will probably only decide late next week or the week after that. Thanks.

Pretty sure that the recs have to be sent from the recomender and all you put in the apps are the names...They also only want 2 total, so use the same for both...

I'm sure you won't get rejected because of that, but I think you should either go with the Pton app or the common app with Pton supplement. If you already did this and can't go back in time and change it, I would just send in what you have.

Yeah, asking them to submit 1 for each school is fine. To assume that a teacher will be fine with submitting two different forms for the same school is just rude.

Sounds like it's too late now--but I'm of the opinion that it's always best to follow directions. If you use P'ton's own application, just go ahead and use their teacher rec form. What's so hard about that? Yes, sure, they take the Common App, but if you are using their own application, you should use their own rec forms too. Why chance it with things like this? If Princeton sees that you can't follow the most basic of directions, well......

KFL, zogoto probably asked because he/she didn't want to create more work for his/her teachers by giving them different forms. Sure it's not that much work to pick up a corresponding form, but when teachers have to do numerous recs for many kids, it's nice to give them a break where you can.
That's just my conjecture.

Actually, I don't know whether I'm using the commonapp or Pton app yet. I have a really good commonapp essay, and if I don't get in my EA school, I won't have time to write a new one from Pton (since I'll be apping to about 4 matches more).
