<p>Hi there, I'm brand spanking new to this board and just wanted to ask one question. Ran a search and couldn't find an answer so I apologize if this has already been discussed. </p>
<p>For the 2006-2007 school year I received stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans only. </p>
<p>For 2007-2008 I am probably going to be eligible for the Perkins loan. I wanted to know if I can obtain the Perkins loan and STILL be able to get the Stafford loan as well? </p>
<p>I am an independent student with exceptional financial need, so having both loans in 07-08 would be great.</p>
<p>Please let me know if you guys have any experience with this. Thanks!</p>
