<p>Anyone framilar with Mizzou (University of Missouri- Columbia)? Because for some reason I feel that they have a good economics department. And now I am starting to develop an interest in Mizzou.</p>
<p>Mizzou is a large Big 12 midwestern university that is on the rise. Thanks to the reputation of its journalism, engineering and business schools, it is attracting a lot of out-of-state applicants, especially those majoring in marketing, communications and journalism. While its business school attracts recruitment from many, mainly-midwestern companies, its economics program is probably not its strongest suit, IMHO. Because you're from St. Louis, you might look into economics programs at Wash U, Northwestern, Illinois and UChicago which has a very strong department (lots of Nobel economics winners). However, for a total college experience, Mizzou does offer a terrific four years.</p>
