Basketball...wow. Back in Little Dribblers (mind you we were in 5th or 6th grade) a girl on my team got in a fight with a girl and it took three of us to pull her away from the other girl...who pretty much had curled up in a ball crying. It was horrible.

Baseball kicks arse as a sport, but the thing is, it takes a long time of watching to begin to appreciate all the things that go on in it. If you weren't forced to watch as a kid, or play little league, the rules won't make sense to you. Basketball is much easier to pick up quickly, and even football you can appreciate for what's going on there (the various fouls aren't crucial to understand the flow).

Baseball's more subtle. What makes baseball games fascinating to watch, and so incredibly dramatic, is very hard to describe. But once you "get it", no other sport will contain quite the same level of drama.

I miss the days of MLB before steroids...::sigh::...I liked it so much better when it was pure talent.

You mean the 1950s?

NFL players used to use horse steroids way back in the day, giving them all sorts of health problems. We just know a lot more about what goes on these days.

what? the rules won't make sense? i'm sure everyone knows the rules. it's the game itself that's boring to most people.

seriously? more drama in baseball that in any other sport? that's pretty ridiculous to say. there's more drama in the steroids scandals, ridiculous amounts of money they're paid, and fights than the game itself.

i mean, hey, if you like it that's great. we all have our opinions. but we have to accept when something we like isn't necessarily the best thing. haha. i watch tennis, but i know it's boring as hell to watch...esp if you don't know the players or how difficult it is to play tennis well. i wouldn't say it's the most dramatic sport out there in terms of watching.

Ryan. Howard.

^ Is amazing. One of my favorite major leaguers.

Mine as well. It's a great time to be a Phillies fan. Him and Utley? Wow.

"You mean the 1950s?"

Erm...when I was a kid it seemed like most players were nice and lean like baseball players should be. Now most of them are huge...and bleh.
