MMSS compared to Stern

Hello everyone!
I was just accepted into the MMSS program, and im currently weighing my options between that and stern and northeastern (maybe)
How does the MMSS compare to Stern?
Recruitment?
Competitive vs cooperative?
Difficulty?
I like Stern because it is in NYC and i imagine if I lived in NYC, that would be much more recognized than MMSS (true?), and because I would be able to minor in music business. But at the same time, NWU offered me 12k more per year in aid, and i haven't had much time in the midwest.
Lastly, any input on what my second major should be if I do MMSS? I was thinking sociology because thats what I'm really interested in, but how are the different programs at northwestern looked at? Is sociology a strong program, or should i think about something else? (I'm also considering economics)
and should I even bother considering Northeastern with coops if MMSS is offering me 8k more in aid? lol
Thanks! and sorry for all the questions

I think that going to stern would allow more of internships and hand on opportunities, while northwestern will give you a better education. The MMSS program is very difficult to get into, but I think the main merit of it is recognized in Chicago. While northwestern is located in close proximatey to Chicago, it isn’t so close where you could head to an internship right after classes every day or week. If you really wanted to do so, it would be really time consuming and hard. Also the fast pace of a quarter system would also make it harder to have time for internships. So that being said, I feel like it depends what you would rather have experience or an education. Both are really important, but it’s really what you want. Also if the money thing will sway your decision, and where you want to work post college… Stern will probably equal working in NYC, while MMSS will be working in Chicago (most likely)

Keep me posted on where you decide though!

Thanks, anyone else input?

Does NYU guarantee housing? If not, then the cost may be even higher than 12k/per year later on.

If you want to major in business (personally not a fan of business at the undergrd level) and have better chance of landing finance internships in NYC, go to Stern.

If you want better education and learn advanced level math applicable to social sciences/economics research, come to Northwestern. By the way, NU’s sociology is ranked 9th by US News. MMSS do seem to get pretty good recruiting esp when it comes to management consulting.
