MMSS Program

I got the acceptance email today.

Who else got in?

Who's going?

What other schools are you considering?

What’s the selectivity of MMSS?
I got accepted, but it seems kinda fishy because I did not work that hard on the application. I’m thinking MMSS might be more self-selective.
I’m considering UChic or CVS at Vandy

swen, yeah honestly I don’t think its very selective; i doubt many ppl apply.

but it is a nice looking program. some of the best things are well-kept secrets?

I got accepted! Also to Harvard and Princeton… now I can’t decide. What would you guys choose?

harvard…

I got accepted too…but how exactly is the reputation of mmss?

^One way to estimate is to look at the list of past internships students got:

hmm I got in this thing too, so it increases my chances of going to nw. But that is mostly dependent on financial aid still. Btw, is this program actually a really special thing that can land you a nice job/intership? Because i just applied to it on a whim when i saw it on the nw app (I’m a HUGE social science junkie who also happens to be good at math and want to keep up with it in college for brain excercise). Looking at the chart posted above my post, looks like about 5 people per year end up in a really nice internship (bain, goldman sachs, monitor etc.) I wonder how this compares to other top bschools/ econ programs…

Got in but going to Princeton.

fortune3 - keep in mind, those are only the ones who reported their internships. i know for a fact that the majority of students entering mmss come out with “nice jobs” should they choose to pursue a career in the business world.
