Mobile Dorm!

Most of the dorm houses are still being renovated; will they be ready in time for the 2010 class? Or incoming freshmen will be assigned to the ‘mobile’ dorm?

Incoming freshman who decide to rotate into any of the South Hovses (Blacker, Dabney, Fleming, Ricketts) will be housed in the mods for the first term. After that, the renovation should be complete and you'll be able to move into the new buildings.

-Oren

And then discussion about renovating (aka destroying and rebuilding) the North Houses begins!

to Craig-> Bwahahaha!

It's probably going to be fun, actually (or at least I think it will be). Most people believe that the examples of '60s architecture on campus stand out in a negative way. The replacement for the North Houses is intended to be a mirror of the South Houses (yes, that means moving from 3 to 4 North Houses).

It's going to be an interesting next couple of years.

just out of cuirousity has anyone been able to see how the south houses turned out? When I was there everything was roped off I was wondering if the renovations all went well and the houses look good?

To Craig: so there are definitive plans in the works to replace the North Houses?
