<p>thanks for all the advice! my interview went better than i expected. at least i didn't stumble like i thought i would.</p>
<p>thank you notes are certainly a nice gesture, however, from what i understand, decisions regarding who will get a nomination are made the same day as the interview. if that's the case in your district, a thank you note will simply be a nice gesture, not a factor in nomination competition.</p>
<p>with my representative, i got my nomination three days after the interview and it was post marked that monday (interview was saturday) so im not sure how quickly a letter will go through but im sure it wouldnt hurt.</p>
<p>I find out if I got the nomination like a MONTH after the interview.... grr!</p>

<p>they told me i would find out early january, like the 10th or something, so im not going to bother them until then.</p>
