Model UN?

Okay, so my friends and I want to start a model un club. I'm a little confused as to how it works.

So, each school's model un is a part of a certain committee and represents a country? Because at conferences, they list committees...

Generally, what is the proccess for making one? Do we have to register with any organization in order to go to conferences?

Then you want to sign up for conferences. If I were you, look into the local schools(all ivys have these conferences)

Model U.N. is a great club, for a variety of reasons. Basically in a nutshell, you represent different nations views on various topics in each committee. Generally you register for a conference and then they assign your school one or two nations to represent. They also give you a list of committees you will have spots in. It is then the schools job to decide which person or partnership represents their assigned countries in which committee. Also, keep in mind each committee generally has two topics.
