<p>I've seen sooo many posts on cc of ppl that got best delegate, best speaker, best..something at MUN
My ques is: are they big deals? and if they are, which ones are best</p>

<p>MUN at my high school has rocked since 1972. I was a founding member of the program, which now has what amounts to freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntington_Beach_High_School%5B/url%5D">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntington_Beach_High_School</a></p>
<p>So, MUN isn't a joke if it's done right. As for whether awards for MUN mean anything I would say, yeah, if the school has a decent program.</p>
<p>I'm no expert, but I would think that if you were recognized for best delegate/honorable mention/best position paper at a conference (not interschool, lol if you won anything where international students came then it was international competition? :) then it should be mentioned. If it made you unique and different from many others, especially if they're not from your own school, mention it</p>
