Hook: Family hardship which is the basis of my common app essay

So far I've applied/applying to:
-Indiana University (ranked 18th)
-Miami University of Ohio (22nd)
-University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign (31st)
-Michigan State University (44th)
-Minnesota (51st)
-Ohio State (53rd)
-Purdue (61st)
-Alabama (75th)
-Mizzou (86th)

They are all ranked according to Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2011 - Businessweek

What other colleges should I look at? I was looking at Northwestern and uChicago but those would definitely be reaches. I would be willing to take out a lot of loans to attend a highly ranked colleges if need be. Thanks!

How much can your family afford?

<$30,000 a year without scholarships preferably

I would be willing to take out a lot of loans to attend a highly ranked colleges if need be

Would your parents cosign such loans? If not, you won’t qualify for “a lot of loans”. You can only borrow the following amounts…

frosh 5500
soph 6500
jr 7500
sr 7500

They are good schools. Keep UIUC in your list since you are in-state and it meets your cost requirements. You might get some $ at Bama. You won’t get anything at Purdue which puts it $10K over your limit.

I’m sure my parents would take out ParentPlus loans if need be

You might want to verify that.

They said they will

Minnesota out of state list price is just under your limit.

Alabama with the [url=<a href=“http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/out_of_state.html]UA”>http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/out_of_state.html]UA Scholarship/url is well under your limit.

For every other school (including UIUC undergraduate business, which is just over your limit), see if it has a financial aid estimator or net cost calculator on its web site to give you an estimate of financial aid.

Are there any other colleges that I should look at?
