I just got a letter from my frosh-o coordinators informing me that I will be having modular furniture... I was sort of looking forward to being able to loft my bed and getting it out of the way, but whatever. As for storage room, seing pictures of the closet unit of modular furniture, all I can do is wince. They look TINY! I'm really nervous. Any ideas?

Modular furniture is God's gift to Man (and Woman). The modular furniture allows you to actually loft your bed over your desk and dresser without having to build a loft, so I think it is really nice. As for the dresser, it depends on the dorm. Some, like Fisher, have dressers so instead you have modular bookcases, so no problem there. If you are in a dorm like O'Neill that doesn't have closets, then you will have a small closet in the modular. Honestly I didn't have much of a problem getting all my clothes in there but it was a bit tight. If you are worried, just bring your summer clothes and then exchange them for winter when it gets cold.
