Mole Day 2008!

So, mole day is in two days. A lot of AP chem teachers give extra credit for mole day projects, so let’s brainstorm ideas and discuss mole day 2008

gogogogoogogogogogogo

(Whatever) + fake moles on face

We actually made little stuffed moles for extra credit.

I've always wondered why mole day isn't June 2 (6-02)....

^Well @ my school we typically recognize both days.

@maddyxx
stuffed moles? That sounds interesting. How did you make it, given that mole is just a number?

It is only the month and the date to give x10^23. So it would be like 6h02? Should I ask for bonus marks or something for mole day?

Its 10/23 because thats the important part. 10^23 of something is closer to 1 mole than 6.02 of something.

Idk what we are doing in AP Chemistry to celebrate Mole Day.

Mole is 6.022 x 10^23
It runs from 6:22am-6:22pm on October 23rd.
Though much like Pi day I suppose it can fall under different days.

*And Stuffed Moles...Play on words? We made the animal mole...

We do a mini celebration for mole day on 10/23, and then a big celebration after APs on 6/02

For Honors Chem we had a big Mole Day thing. We had a tie-dying lab Monday (every Chem class (Academic/Honors/AP) tie-dyes and everyone's supposed to wear their tie-dye shirts on the actual day (today). And then our class was just a free period. Everyone brought in food & we got extra credit for doing this mole day word search/cryptogram (and more for wearing our tie-dye shirts). Easy day :D

We did nothing! Dang...

happy mole day 08! We had a half hour mole day celebration in AP chem after doing some thermochem problems :P

ahh i remember mole day... my teacher gave me 8 pts on a test for dressing as a mole :p

We took a test on Mole Day.

I got a test back on Mole Day. I got a 100! :)

So I am not the only person celebrating Mole day? My chem teacher didn't do anything for mole day and didn't care when I mentioned it. My school is a little anti-nerdy-ness.
