Mom attended more than one grad school - app question

My mom attended more than one grad school. She received two masters degrees. However, on the Questbridge application, there's only space for one school. What should I do? Do I have to mention the second grad school in additional info?

You are never required to provide information that any application does not allow you to; if there is no other space to add the second Masters’ degree, you wouldn’t have to create the space. (Unless the question said, “If more than one higher degree, explain in space below…”)

Generally, academics are viewed as levels, however, so several masters’ degrees would not necessarily be viewed as the equivalent of a single Ph.D., which is why questions about parents’ level of education is usually asked as, “Highest degree completed.” (As opposed to “total number of units completed” or “total number of undergraduate + graduate degrees completed.”)

So you can rest easy that answering the question in the confines of the space allowed is not giving you a deceitful advantage over another candidate.

If you feel more comfortable about adding the second Masters’ degree in “additional info,” then you can do so, but it’s the creators of an application form that prioritize the information that is important for them to receive, and thus they ask the questions (and don’t ask other questions) in the way they do (don’t).

^Thank you for the informative answer. I can rest easy now :)
