Since I mentioned her several times on this board, I just wanted to let you know that my Mom passed away peacefully at hospice last night. I was able to be with her for her last 12 hours and it was quite a blessing. She was only 50 years old. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and keep me in your prayers as now I have to help plan a funeral before returning to Morgantown.

Oh, Mike... When I saw the title "Mom", my heart just sank. We all feel as if we've gone through this with you... we're all still here for you. Her life was much too short, but she was blessed to have you as her son. Our Lord is hugging her now.

Allow me to add my condolences upon the loss of your Mom. I trust you will find much comfort in the knowledge that she is now infinitely happy for eternity with our Lord. "Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her."

Thank you for the generosity with which you have shared your knowledge and love of Notre Dame on these forums.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family Mike. May it help to know your many friends on this board share in your sorrow and stand with you in prayer to honor your mom. We will keep you in our thoughts as you journey through.

I'm so sorry, Mike. You've always been so helpful to all of us here, I wish there was more we could do for you now. Know that you will be in my prayers and I will light a candle at the grotto for you and your family as well.

Oh Mike, I am so very sorry for the loss of your Mother! I am sure you were a source of great pride for her! You have been such a great friend and help to so many here, I can only imagine what you meant to her throughout her life. What an honor and blessing to be with her at the end! Take care of yourself and know that you and your family are in our prayers. We too will light a candle at the grotto for you. God Bless~

Mike so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom, prayers sent for you and yours. God bless and know that she is in a better place and in your heart always.

Mike, you provided a mountain of wisdom and advice for me even though I ultimately did not attend Notre Dame. Just know that you are in my prayers, and that if I were at ND right now, I would be at the grotto praying for you.

Stay strong, she is looking down on you right now and is so proud of who you have become.
