I was really in the sky when I heard about my >$25000 financial aid. But now it seems that the remaining $14000 will blow me up. Can anyone suggest me some sources other than the school itself where I can get some money. I go through fastweb and all but still no source located yet. So anyone man enough to help. :D

well why dont u consider student loans?

also u can opt for PT jobs or sumthing...

how much can I earn with PT jobs?
Do you mean on campus jobs or the ones during the vacations.
I always want to stay away from loans.

"I always want to stay away from loans."

You can always stay home and don't go to US. Often in life you can't get everything you wish for. wasup gave good suggestions.

u can earn 5K on campus i think...i dunno abt the vacations tho...if u aint in debt evr , u aint alive...

Ok I surrender. Where should I look for loans? Suggest some names that gives loan in an easier interest. my college is not giving it. so could you be kind and suggest some external sources for loans for internationals like me. Plz. i'll work like mad for the 5K on campus.

most likely in your home country, parents, relatives, banks. Most likely no one will give you loan in this country - what happens if you run away and don't pay.

u'll need abt 10K per year right...so thats a total of 40K..im sure u'll get a loan from your own country..where are u frm ?

Nepal. Here 40k would mean a whole lot of money. So not quite feasible and I haven't heard about loans to students trying to pursue education in US. Or there might be. I'll rather have from US. Or seek another way. how possible is it for us internationals to get scholarships through fastweb, edupass etc.

search on http://scholarshipexperts.com/

yes that is a good site...well why dont u try a few indian banks,i think they might give a loan to citizens of nepal ..anyhoo i could help u with the choice of banks then..lol

isherpa_cool which college are you going to?.

I'll be going to Elmira college in New york this fall with a full tuition scholarship. before I used to think of people being lucky in getting scholarships even if they were partial. Now even a full tuition scholarship has not satisfied me. The living expenses is real high in Newyork and the and as arecipient of the highest award i need to live on campus. God! why is elmira in New york.:)
Wasup: Do indian banks give loans to Nepalese and at what interest rates? Truly speaking i hardly know about how bank and loans work. Science ate up all my brain.

im not sure but i think its possible, ofcourse they'll ask for a collateral..maybe u shud give them a call...

wow, full tuition is a good one......but one always hopes there were more, COngrats!....how much do you think you ought to pay for the living expenses?
do you have any relatives in US, if yes i think it will not be so difficult to get loans, you need someone to sign indicating that you plan to pay the loan.......
got your visa? and wht school are you from?

Got the visa a months ago. The consulate said "You should be proud of yourself" and asked no question.
No one in US. SO loans are hard to get. I did my A levels from Campion.

Well, hats off to you!...by the way did you take sat 2?

yes taken Sat 2. physics 740 maths II 740 Chem 640 Biology 640

go on. Help Nepalis.
