Ok, wonderful UNC parents...I adore you because I've been asking SO many questions lately...haha...

How much money did you set aside for laundry per month? Or in general? I was thinking of loading my One Card up with $150 to start. Is that going to run out really fast?

Thanks again...you guys rock!

Ahhh laundry...my d's chief beef. I believe each load is $1 which seems fine.... except that she said the dryers are in need of a tune up after about a month or so. I don't know if the heating elements go or what. She found herself spending 6 or 7 bucks trying to get a load of jeans dry. She quickly learned the advantages of hanging things to dry in her room...lol! (When I told her about clotheslines and how things were dried before dryers...she looked at me like I was insane though....)

But I think $150 should be plenty to start with...especially if you are using it just for laundry, vending and copy center.

i love to partially dry things and hang them up to air dry...helps certain clothes last longer. any suggestions of space-conservation type things for hanging clothes on to dry?

I've seen these portable dryer racks at bed, bath and beyond and have used one in the past at home and they work alright. only thing is if you dont put your clothes in the dryer for a little bit they'll be stiff as a board.
