<p>Alright.. I'm an engineering freshman, and I've got a few questions about paying for tuition/housing/whatever else. When do I get my bill? I know the housing is due Sept. 30. I need to get a loan for this and anything else financial aid/money I have doesn't cover. What's the best loan so that I can pay it when I graduate, as little interest as possible? </p>

<p>I went the financial aid route and got the perkins and stafford loans. My parents filled in the gap with a plus loan. Don't know if this is the best route, but it was easy to apply for...</p>

<p>The billling system at UM is a little weird...you will be sent a billing statement every month...you need to have your main UM bill paid off by sept 30th or bad things will happen...</p>
<p>There's also a payment plan for anyone who's interested.</p>
