<p>For our D, we pay rent, she pays food, utilities and gas for the car. She works at recitals and concerts, setting up and recording, and teaches private lessons to students at a local school. She pays all her bills with that plus a small additional allowance, with the following exceptions (besides rent) We gave her a credit card that is used for books, reeds, airline tickets home (not to visit friends) and emergencies. For us, this arrangement works out well.</p>
