Did any one else get in but probably will end up not going because of money?

I got the letter Thursday saying I was accepted...yay! Buttt they also didn't give me any money. It was my top choice for so long...and now I probably will not be able to go because it's so expensive. This really sucks.... anyone else in a similar situation?

We, too, are in the same "boat". For over a year, this was D's first choice and when she got in EA in December, she was so excited (as were we). We even sent in the housing/tuition deposit. Unfortunately, when we did our FAFSA and found out our EFC (she is an only child, so we were really clueless), things didn't look good. When she got her FA package, we knew that it was just not going to happen. She is fine with it - and very happy to be sending in her deposits this week to the school that was right up there with Emerson and luckily, gave her some great merit money. Now, hopefully, we can get our deposits back and her slot will go to someone else who fell in love with Emerson, too. I am sure that you will be happy, too, with whatever your decision will be. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I've gotten some really great merit money other places so, hopefully i'll be giving up the spot to someone who wanted it just as bad as I did...but can pay for it.

They didn't send my money in with my acceptance letter and say they are still reviewing it and will let me know how much they're giving me next week but it's getting really ridiculous because I sent everything in on time so they should hold up their end of the bargain and tell me on time. I got really good money from BU but I still want to hear from Emerson (even though they probably didn't give me much because they are notoriously bad with fin aid) because I originally wanted to go there before BU. This is just making me want to go to Emerson less and less.
