So I know for monologues you aren’t supposed to choose anything questionable I.e about sexual stuff etc. is it ok to have one "swear word " in it if every thing else is ok? I think it is just one place where the character says “son of a ----” and that’s it… I think if she changes that word it will probably take away from the whole thing which is really good otherwise…
That is absolutely fine. No worries.
No problem at all. My D’s had a couple such words. she got good feedback from all and nobody mentioned it being inappropriate
In fact, we were told that taking it out or changing the words would most likely be a negative to adjudicators; they are likely to be familiar with the piece and wonder about the change/omission.
