Monologues?

I am having so so so much trouble finding monologues to use and really would like some help.
I have been looking for ones that are contemporary, long enough, in my age range (12-22 probably) and GOOD without being overdone.
The ones that I like are
Clarisse’s monologue from the stage adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 (I will probably use this one as one because it is very underdone and fits me well, dramatic)
Anne’s monologue from the Diary of Anne Frank (could be a bit overdone but i really love it, dramatic)
Allegra’s monologue from Pretty Theft (probably overdone because it is on the internet- doesn’t fit me amazingly but i can act it, dramatic)
Amy’s monologue from And Turning Stay (same circumstance as last one, dramatic)
Nora’s from Brighton Beach Meoirs (OVERDONE SO MUCH but it fits me, dramatic
and lastly the comedic, notoriously overdone coat hanger monologue form Charlie Brown which is currently the only comedic monologue i have found that both fits my age range, is appropriate.

1.) Am I okay in the dramatic monologue department or are none of those okay?
2.) Where on Earth does one find good comedic monologues for teens??
Thanks for the help!

Is “I ate the divorce papers” overdone?

I love that monologue… seems like an 18+ monologue so you should be okay. Have no idea if it’s overdone, but I think it’s a great choice.

@BeccaW444 - have you had an opportunity to read all of these plays from which these monologues come from? That may help you figure out which character and show really speak to you. But really understanding the entirety of the show and the context in which the monologue is given can sometimes help you rule in or out a particular monologue. I know it’s a lot of work but it will help in picking the right piece and with delivering your chosen pieces well.

As far as comedic monologues, you may want to consider some playwrights like Theresa Rebeck. She has some interesting scripts to read with age appropriate characters.

And Turning Stay was one I heard A LOT at auditions this past year. Just a fyi.
