Monroe Community College -> Amherst [chance me]

hi,
reading this forum does not put me at ease one bit. i console myself with the fact that the people who post here must be crazy overachievers. ;p
ps: i'm new.

high school:
abysmal grades. a few ECs [literary magazine, japanese club, ladies varsity golf (MIP)*]. and i did take the SAT back then (670V / 660M), but it seems i don't have to tell anybody that since i'm a tranny?

*is it wise to include my HS clubs/sports as a junior transfer?

monroe community college:
GPA: 3.62
EC: vice president - Holocaust, Genocide, & Human Rights Project
[i'll also come away with a leadership certificate, but i don't know what category that falls into.]
REC: ~95% sure that i'll have two very good professor recommendations as well.

one last question:
i won the NY state disc golf championship 3 years in a row and placed 4th in the amateur nationals. should i mention this anywhere? is it too silly?

... and i would not mind at all if you fine folks suggested other colleges up my alley.

"i did take the SAT back then (670V / 660M), but it seems i don't have to tell anybody that since i'm a tranny?"

oh jeez! you might want to change the wording of that sentence, it might give the wrong impression

winning the disc golf championship is not very relevant to your academic pursuits, might be silly

we can better evaluate your chances if you tell us what your hs gpa was....however, based on what is given, it does seem that your ec's are a bit lacking...your gpa is also on the lower side coming from a community college

I know Amherst has partnerships with some ccs..Is this the case with your cc?

MCC has a partnership with Amherst College and Cornell University through the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.

I suggest calling the career center to see if you're eligible for the program. MCC career center - (585) 292-2248

MCC: Special programs fo underrepresented students

Good luck!

: ) thank you all for responding so quickly.
