What is the deal with it? I assume accepted students would know by now if they were accepted as Monroe scholars? Also what are the specific benefits of it? I know the housing is there, but is it better than normal freshman dorms? Also, if a current WM student could describe dorms (singles/doubles, coed, hall/suite bathrooms, etc), that would be great. Thanks

The Monroe acceptances went out earlier than the RD ones, so I believe they should all be out.

The biggest thing is the $3000 (i think?) for research stuff. The housing is no better than other freshmen housing, and there's not even AC. 2 of the freshmen dorms have AC.

All freshmen dorms are coed by hall (except 1 dorm of single sex for each sex), with hall bathrooms, and double rooms. One dorm (Dupont) has 1 bathroom for 2 double rooms. Yates and Dupont have AC. More info can be found at www.wm.edu/reslife/
