Moody's Rating for Chapman: A2 "Stable"

The U.S. higher education system is under increasing economic pressure and the fiscal health of a college or university is more important than ever. Checking the Moody's rating of a prospective college is now recommended. This link offers a very interesting summary of the current Moody's rating for Chapman. It's a strong report that notes Chapman's many strengths. Seeing a solid report is heartening, as ratings of many colleges (even well known, established ones) have plummeted in recent years--to Ba and B level (unstable) ratings.
The report mentions some challenges faced by all colleges these days, and notes the "contaminated soil" issue, as well.

A2, as defined by Moody's: "Considered Long Term Investment grade; upper medium grade with low credit risk."

"New York, August 21, 2012 -- Moody's Investors Service has affirmed the A2 ratings on Chapman University's outstanding bonds. The rating outlook remains stable. The A2 rating reflects the university's established market reputation as the only comprehensive university in Orange County, and consistently healthy operating cash flows."

In the 2012 Bond report is mentioned the challenge the University faces regarding the discovery of major soil contamination on campus requiring remediation poses financial and reputational risk. From what I am able to figure out this is the Cypress Street property where the $100 million project Dodge College Filmmakers’ Village was to be built: [OC METRO - Chapman unveils plans for ?Filmmakers?
