Plz tell me about the type of financial aid available for the master's program.
I am interested in MS in computer science. Also how competitive is it??

Sorry if I upset you, but I looked back at a previous posts made by you and noticed you are an international. That will affect things greatly.

Many schools (well departments within schools) have limited funds for international students, mostly due to most of the grants supporting students being issued by the US government. Therefore, you're situation will be highly dependant on how many international students are already in the department (and how many are graduating) or if a professor has funds from a special grant you can be paid off of, etc. Also, in the traditional sciences, most schools will not admit students if they can't fund them. I'm not sure how applies to your field of CS, but just trying to give you an idea about how graduate admissions works in the US.

As for the actual support amount, that varies widely as well. Every school has a different scale and typically schools in urban areas give more than those in rural areas (due to cost of living difference). Also, many times private schools will give more than public schools. However, this is a gross generalization and you should look at specific school's websites and get an idea what they are currently giving grad students (the TAship amounts are typically published). Also, while you are at it, you can look at the graduate student list and try to figure out how many internationals are in the department in relation to domestic students to get an idea of how international-friendly the specific department is.

Hope this helps!
