More Apps? Or Call it Quits?

Hiya....

Just wanted to get some advice. I'm a senior who has so far applied to 5 schools
Yale SCEA
Smith RD
Scripps RD
Union RD
UAlabama (already accepted with a full tuition scholarship)

Should I bother applying to more? I have finished (but not sent) the applications for a few schools and want to know if it's worth it.

Just quick facts about me
Native American ancestry
Rank: 3/441
GPA 4.0uw, 4.2 w
5's on all my AP tests
34 on ACTs
1000 community service hours
Work Part time
plus EC's....

So, should I apply to :
Wellesley?
Amherst?
Brown?
or anywhere else? or nowhere else?

Thanks!

Of the colleges you have applied to, which is your top choice and why? That might help with some guidance.

^^^Smith- I love everything about it…It is the perfect place for me :)

If you are willing to attend Bama then you should be good as is. I think you’ll get into Smith as well.

sigh…another one of these threads…

rocket6louise…aren’t you also a national merit? Or am i confused?

You’ll get accepted to Smith, I’m sure. :)

Definitely don’t apply for the sake of applications. If I remember correctly, you need a lot of aid, so that’s something to consider.

From your posts on this forum I don’t really see you as a Wellesley or Amherst type; you definitely seem more Brown/Macalester/Oberlin-y to me. Are you open to schools in the Midwest? You’d probably get good merit aid from a bunch of LACs in the Midwest. With your interest in theatre I’d recommend looking into Lawrence specifically.

I’ve never even considered midwest schools to be honest, but I will look into them :)

If you liked Smith, perhaps Bryn Mawr, Vassar or Holyoke

Much depends on whether you want acoed; urban; Eastern; etc
Best of luck

You can learn a lot from the accepted student weekends and it is a bit of a shame not to have something to compare when April arrives. Maybe Smith won’t look as good at that point. Why not apply to Brown and one top liberal arts college (Wesleyan, Macalaster, Oberlin) so you have more potential choices?
