More colleges are disciplining students for off campus behavior problems

It sounds like there’s a lot of misinformation here. First and foremost, all of the apartments BC student live in are not in Newton, MA. For those who don’t know, those multimillion dollar estates are in Newton and not in Brighton. Most of the complaints come from the Brighton area of Boston because those residents live right alongside students renting for their junior year. I have never seen nor heard of anything from the Newton crowd in the way of complaints because they don’t interact with our students.

Secondly, in my opinion, it’s quite ridiculous for a college to send an “off-campus liaison” (aka an off-campus RA) to patrol properties that are off campus. Alas BC has to do this to move into Brighton as part of its ambitious ten-year plan.
