I want to be the president/founder of an extracuriccular activity that will help my community. Any ideas?
I am not doing it solely for the purpose of college, but I really want to make a difference in this world.
All ideas are appreciated!
Thanks,
N
Try going for quality ECs rather than more ECs. If that club/extracurricular activity is something that relates to your passion, then go for it.

Do you really? You’re a Junior and are already a member of several clubs. This senior year revelation to make a difference simply seems desperate.
Unless there’s more to it, the naked leadership grab and resume stuffer is apparent to all including colleges. If you were a freshman, I’d tell you to become an excellent follower if you want to be a leader Look around to community work around you and join it as a member. If it’s truly something you enjoy, then seek to influence the organization and perhaps serve more. Maybe you’ll be a leader one day. And if you’re genuine, then you’ll make sure it has a line of succession.
But you’re finishing your Junior year.
Enough “founders” from among HS students to choke a horse. From your prior post, abandon this “founder” idea and maybe even pull back from your current ECs. Spend more time on ACT or SAT prep – you have lots of room to improve there given the colleges you state you’re targeting. That will best serve you between now and the end of the year when apps are due. Any new resume-padding charity you develop is simply going to be bogus.
