1.Duke (great biomedical)
2.Boston University
3.Johns Hopkins (best biomedical)
4.GWU
Rest!?!?!?!?

None of the schools are really known for engineering.

yeah i know, thats why i asked...i couldnt find any info on their programs anywhere else.

also, I forgot to mention that I was looking for mechanical engineering

u haven't looked hard enough. there are loads of info, on these schools. google engineering and duke and u will find plenty of info. hopkins' engineering program is pretty good, BME is obvious the strongest, but they are very good in other engineering as well.

okay okay, so i havent really looked for duke or hopkins...but heres a more ponted question: for GWU and BU, (and i have looked up their eng. programs) the the programs any good? All these site for engineering schools look the same to me and i cant tell which ones are good and which are not really worth going for. Oh, and I also wanted to know about Syracuse.

Go to usnews.com and look at the college rankings:

None of those schools are really good engineering schools.... why are you applying to them?

Have to disagree with some of the other posters.

You will get a great engineering education at JHU or Duke/Pratt. Neither is "famous" for engineering, but both are highly respected by employers and grad schools.

thomaschau: im not applying yet, im just looking, and i was just curious about some of the schools where I know they have engineering but I don't really hear much about them on this site
