More extracurriculars

My extracurriculars are one of my biggest hooks with about 6 leadership positions that I show passion in. Any schools that one may know of that put extra emphasis on activities and leadership?

How much do EC's/ leadership do for my application?

Depends on the school. Generally, the more selective the school gets, the more emphasis it will put on extracurricular activities. You can go to the CollegeBoard website and use the College Search on specific schools to see how the school rates the importance of EC’s.

Definitely apply to Boston College…They love stuff like that

excellent I was going to apply there anyway. Anyone else with ideas please feel free to post them.

I heard though BC is almost impossible if you’re not a legacy.

That said, I need other schools that are like BC though so help me out please

I know Tufts is really big on test scores…but they like to see some good ECs. Brandeis is one that looks at ECs. I believe Syracuse is one also.

ugh my SAT’s are probably my weakest link too but thanks, keep the advice coming

any schools that give little emphasis on sats would be good too

I think all schools give some emphasis on SATs. Most top schools usually weight ECs more because there are so many high achieving studentst applying. You could try researching Northeastern, Boston U, NYU, Cornell. If you can retake your SATs and bring your scores up you’d probably be fine. If you have a high GPA and good letters of rec + essay, modest SAT scores can be balanced by your ECs. Although if you are not happy with your scores you should retake it in the fall.
You could also try collegeboard to see what colleges are similar to BC.

I will thanks, any other advice would be helpful
