<p>DARPA has awarded USC more contracts than any other university in the nation.</p>
<p>The National Academy of Engineering has named Dr. Andrea Armani as a recipient of one of only two Grainger Grants given in 2013. The grant is for $30,000.</p>
<p>Dr. Lucio Soibelman was elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers.</p>
<p>Computer scientist Ben Reichardt, chemical engineering professor Malancha Gupta and scientist Yan Lui were honored with National Science Foundation Career Awards.</p>
<p>Dr. Mike Gruntman has been inducted as a new member of the International Academy of Astronautics.</p>
<p>Dr. Ted Berger received the EMBS Academic Career Achievement Award for his work in
cortical prosthesis.</p>
<p>Fei Shaw was honored as a Sloan Research Fellow.</p>
<p>Professor Alan Willner received the IEEE Sumner Award to add to a long list of honors.</p>
<p>Dr. Mata Mataric was awarded the 2013 Woman of Vision Award by the Borg Institute.</p>
