<p>I just sent in my deposit a few days ago, and I have a few housing questions</p>
<p>Does the housing app come to you in your umich email, or do you log on to the website and start it yourself? And, if by email, how long after you sent in your deposit?</p>
<p>Do you get to request specific dorms, or just locations (central, hill, north)?</p>

<p>You log on to the website to sign up for housing. I'm not sure if they send you an e-mail or a letter letting you know when you're able to fill out your application.</p>

<p>How do you set up your UMICH email? I submitted my deposit and when I try to create my uniqname it asks for a OTID, which I do not have. Where do I obtain my OTID?</p>
<p>Go to the umich homepage, and do a search for OTID. I'd link you directly to any one of the many many many hits that come up and have the answer, but I think it's instructive if you learn to start doing obvious stuff like this yourself.</p>

<p>wow...you didn't get the email for 10-12 days with the OTID?? Would I be able to call to obtain it sooner?</p>
