More Important- GPA or Class Rank?

<p>of course they'll consider class rank more important.
If it is not available, THEN they'll consider the GPA.
But you need not worry if you go to a competitive school; the colleges are fully aware of which schools are competitive and not. Although if you are in a foreign country... bad luck.</p>

<p>It varies among colleges. Many consider courses and grades (GPA) as most important and give no consideration to rank. Some are the opposite where class rank is most important and GPA is not. Majority are likely somewhere in between.</p>

<p>No question it's rank. This is a huge difference in how hard it is to get top grades at different schools. Tank is the only thing that put's GPA in perspective.</p>

<p>Not true, If you look up the common data set at the schools which you are applying to Grades/ rigor of the curriculum is most important as a large number of schools don't rank.</p>
