More info about these colleges?

Glad to see other international students :D Hopefully you'll be able to help me out.

I just wanted to learn more about these colleges:

John Cabot University in Rome: An American uni in my favorite country/city :) But sadly, most American universities abroad are not great academics wise (or at least that's what I've heard). I'd be glad to hear anything specific about JCU.

McGill University: Not much to say. Really interested.

College of William & Mary: I went to a MUN conference there. Amazing college, amazing IR program, and in Williamsburg (which is kind of bleh. I wish it was in a bigger city like Richmond...). Plus I think I might get instate tuition? Not too sure though. Any information would be helpful. If I have a permanent residency in VA, do I get instate tuition, even if I don't go to school there?

New York University: Does anyone know much about their Global Studies program?

Georgetown: Wow. I don't really know if I'd have the scores to get in but it's always been my number one choice for uni. Any general information would be welcome.

London School of Economics & Pol. Sci.: uh. Ditto about the scores thing for Georgetown. I know next to nothing about the British university system besides the fact that they have to do only 3 years and are much less flexible in terms of majors (as in you have to stick to one topic? not really too sure). Help!?

School of Oriental and African Studies: I don't know much about it...

Majors i'm interested in: Political science, international relations, international law, Political science & Econ (together).

b-u-m-p…

If you have permanent residency in Virginia, you should be classified as in state for tuition purposes for William and Mary.

Mcgill University is the most prestigious university in Canada and is well known internationally. It’s social sciences department is ranked quite high and the faculty is top-notch. The price is also very reasonable. Besides, Montreal is a great city full of culture.

Misc. Stuff: It was ranked one of the top 100 (no specific order) employers in Canada, which means the faculty satisfaction is probably very high and that, in my opinion, relates to a great learning environment.

Over at the Mcgill forum there’s a thread made by an alumni where you could ask questions if you’re interested.

Thanks! I’ve heard McGill accepts people strictly on statistics & numbers (grades, sat, etc.) rather than ECs and stuff like American colleges… is this true?

Canadian universities in general do not care much about ECs. Education is purely academical.

Any info on SLU Madrid or John Cabot University?
