More "match" schools strong in ECON

I am looking for some more schools that have strong econ programs. Right now my list is USC,NYU,Michigan,UT,Emory,UWash,UofA.....I know a few of those are stretch because of my current test scores but I am VERY confident my ACT will be good 30-32 as mentioned below. I am looking for some more match schools similar to UWash, or some low reaches. Any ideas?

-3.66 unweighted and 3.8 weighted GPA with a progressively challenging curriculm at one of the top public schools in Arizona
-My school does not rank
-SAT 1840-horrible I know
-Going to take the ACT in September-shooting for a 30-32, got a 29 on a timed practice first time ever seeing the test.

Give me some ideas of other schools, thanks!!!

wisconsin and minnesota have strong econ programs.

The University Of Chicago’s economics program is one of the best in the world. Apply there. Your grades and ACT score are within the ballpark. Just make sure to write a great essay (Chicago tends to place a lot of emphasis on their writing prompts).

BTW: While the LEAD America program might sound impressive, it really isn’t. I don’t think it’s worth mentioning in your application.

you really think I have a shot at UofC??? Its like a super hard school haha…you dont think its worth mentioning??

plus it would probably be a reach, im looking for some more match and low reach at highest

Yes, I honestly do think you have a chance. UChicago places an enormous amount of importance on its essays. If you do well on your essay, it can make up for your slighly lower gpa. I personally have met 5-6 people with a gpa lower than your’s.

ehh depending on how I do on my ACT (which I have yet to take) goes I’ll see. I really need more match schools because as of now my SAT Score makes nearly all of the schools I plan on applying to (besides UWash and UA) a stretch

The University of Rochester & ASU have pretty good econ programs

I cant go to ASU my dad would kill me, he went to U of A, and I would never want to lol

bump…
