More Millions for Medical Research at SC

The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine has awarded $27 million for a new stem cell research facility at SC. This funding will supplement a $30 million gift from the Broad Foundation for medical research.

Announced this week are some more major contributions to the university.....
$7.5 million to the Dept. of Chemistry
$5 million to the Norris Cancer Center
$4 million to create new headquarters for the SC Alumni Association
$2 million to School of Cinematic Arts for exhibition space and to house records and historic resources

Georgia Girl, do you work in the admissions department or something? I'm all for current news about USC, but your posts seem lifted right from the website and are never critical of the university.

Ned5555, why would you question Georgia Girl for posting news of USC on the USC forum? Whether she works for the university and/or is simply a proud Trojan I appreciate the updates. If you are looking for critical comments about SC, perhaps you should try the UCLA forum? (just kidding)

Thanks, Georgia Girl. I really enjoy the info you find.
