Tufts Daily - Tufts accepts 26 percent of pool, suspends need-blind admissions

I find this very interesting and honest. Not suprising that they had to suspend need blind admissions. I think that is a better course of action than decreasing academic services.
The question becomes is an undergraduate degree from Tufts worth 200K if you are paying out of pocket without any financial aid???

I think it also sounds like there won’t be any room for negotiating, if the financial aid offered is low. Not if they have already “run out.”

Wow, that really sucks for that 5% of applicants who couldn’t be reviewed under the need-blind policy…

Interesting article!

We remain absolutely committed to the moral obligation Tufts has to be an affordable option for every admitted student. If the aid award doesn’t meet financial need, families should always check with the FinAid office to see if there is a way to more accurate assess the EFC.
