do they release practice tests anywhere from SAT's like last year and the ones before those that are recent to take?

Why dont you by Collegeboard's new SAT book?

well, im taking a december 5 postponed test for jan. word is they reuse test from previous administrations. do they ever release old test like last year or earier this year, two years. etc anywhere?

I am sure they won't reuse a already-released test intact, if that's what you are thinking.

Prince, your sat test will NOT be an old test. Hopefully you are actually reading the post that have repeatidly told you this...

what? but a thousand other people told me otherwise. i must have missed your post. and also how do you know this, and do they make a whole new test or use a "future test" as my korean friend told me (which wouldn't make sense for my case).

sorry if i overread your post last time

Here's a post with 2 more practice tests.

As for your make up test, why are people saying that it will not be an old test? The last few months have all had old tests, and why would the CB spend the time and money to create a completely new test, just as a backup? That said, it's probably impossible to predict which old test it will be, and the test definately won't be the same one as last weekend's, nor will it be any test that has been released, either through 10RS, or the "Taking the SAT" guides that I linked to.

hmm, i might be able to scan through most of them though. isnt there an archive ANYWHEre iwth all the sat test ever released before?

also what are the chances of the reused sunday test being reused on my date?

Umm...my counselor (who worked for ETS originally) told me that collegeboard NEVER reuses complete tests. Yes, they might reuse experimental questions or some similar questions in general, however most of the test is new (including the reading passages). The korean friend you speak of must be mistaken as it is ridiculous to think collegeboard would re-use an entire test...that would disrupt the curve and give unfair advantages...

well i just talked to my friend, who took the sunday test who TOOK a reused test from an older post i read. so i guess something's up

make sure it wasn't just similar or might "have seemed to be a reused test"...that makes no sense...really, just think about it.

"most of the test is new (including the reading passages)"
I am almost positive that this is not true. When I took the SAT in January 04, we used the CC archives to find a previous test that had the exact same CR passages so that we could find the answers to some of the questions. It appears that the same is being done this time

how far back do they pull sats? and does anyone know where i can get a hold of of as many previous sat dates as possible to read through them?

also , do they reuse whole tests? or just questions from each noe

wow, I was so wrong...I apologize and will now slip into the background

whatever man, you were probably right a long time ago, but i guess what with the new SATs they are slacking off with making new ones. i just want to find a way to find old tests so i can study them. old = earlier this year, 03-04, 02-03, do they even release them anywhere or am i chasing a impossible dream

I really doubt they release them if they are considering using them...goodluck, I would check the archives (I wished I had!) because the hardest questions are usually discussed and you would have a definite advantage there! Goodluck.

The CB has released tests in 4 different ways. First, there are 10 tests in the 10RS book. (There is also 1 extra test online) Second, each year, the "Taking the SAT" guide contains one old test. Third, the Question and Answer service allows testers from three different administrations per year to get the test booklet back (for a fee). Finally, the CB used to sell tests from its Released Tests Department for something like $4 each. These were the same test that were given back through the Q&A service (so only 3 per year). However, shortly after Xiggi posted information about that service on CC, it was shut down (but there quite a few people who bought tests and might sell them).

However, like I said before, it's impossible to predict which old test it will be, and the test definately weon't be any ones that has been released (they know that test prep services use the releasd tests for practice, so it wouldn't be fair to reuse one of those tests)

1) "There is also 1 extra test online" -- where is that? i borrowed my friends and he may have taken any cds that were included
2) what is the "TAKING THE SAT" guide
3) i have the test administration from october 2004, what are teh chances they'll use that? 0? haha
4) what is this "archive" on CB people are tlaking about
5) damn you xiggi, does anyone have those tests that they bought?

I "THINK" that they use old SATs for PSATs...thats what i've heard

1) The free test online is here. OF the two tests on that site, one is in 10RS and the other is a "bonus"
2) The Taking the SAT guides are the info guides that the CB provides with information about the SAT as well as a practice test. See the link i gave above for links to the guides for the past 3 years
3) You've got the answer ;)
4) On the old CC, every month, the threads from that month would be placed in a special "archive" folder. On this new board, the software just keeps adding more topic pages.. up to 29 now.

As for PSAT's, I dont know if they use old SAT's as PSAT's but I know that a PSAT will never be reused since every PSAT test is released.
