i only applied to 2 -hotchkiss and st georges. i didnt get into hotchkiss and got waitlisted at st georges. i took it twice last year...1st time wasnt that good and second i had a pretty good improvement. i didnt really put much time into studying and i didnt score what i know im capable of. this year im doing some sessions with a tutor and doing a book.

a tutor? do u find it helps a lot?

well its not as much a tutor as someone who like helps you with your studying for the test. i dunno my mom set it up. i havent had a session yet because soccer has taken over my life but i think i have one next weekend

shut up Jonathan ;), i just smoked a lot of weed. No, i'm joking...i'm a pretty clean kid. Just hyper about having a night off all my activities. Plus it's friday!!!

umm.. ok...?

ohhh, ur so annoying...:):):):) see how happy i am ?LUV U!

Is sailing a requirement? I think both Tabor and Portsmouth Abbey offer sailing. If it's not a requirement, then there are many to think about. You seem to be attracted to beautiful campuses and medium to small schools. Please let us know what interests you in a boarding school. Are there any independent day schools where you live that might be better than your current school?

Did you just say I'm annoying?

wait are u saying i'm annoying?? i thought we were friends?:(

Uhh... I don't even know you.

i know, it's called a joke... if you've ever heard of them

All of the 13 year olds here, lets rejoice. :)

yea im really looking for a school with a sailing program. i looked at tabor and didnt like it and arnt interested in portsmouth abbey. i know im really picky

I just read your location Chaos Theroy, that's pretty deep.

So is my brain. Its so deep, it never ends, and you can never see it in my head. XD

great:)... i have nothing deep and meaningful to add so i won't

PrepChick -- You can do a search for "sailing" at www.boardingschoolreview.com and www.petersons.com. I think you should take another look at Tabor and possibly Portsmouth Abbey. You might see them with a different perspective this time. If you drop the requirement for sailing, you have many choices. Think of whether or not prospective schools are an improvement over where you are now. Try not to think of them as inferior to St. Georges. I certainly hope you get into St. George's this time. But just in case you don't, it would be good to find yourself in at a school that is an improvement over your current situation.

Your criteria: College-Preparatory, Co-Ed, Sailing

Schools:

Brewster Academy Co-ed 9-12, PG Wolfeboro, NH
Concord Academy Co-ed 9-12 Concord, MA
Hotchkiss School Co-ed 9-12, PG Lakeville, CT
Milton Academy Co-ed 9-12 Milton, MA
Portsmouth Abbey School Co-ed 9-12 Portsmouth, RI
St. George's School Co-ed 9-12 Middletown, RI
Stevenson School Co-ed 9-12 Pebble Beach, CA
The Stony Brook School Co-ed 7-12 Stony Brook, NY
Tabor Academy Co-ed 9-12 Marion, MA

I was/am thinking of applying to Stevenson as a safety. It's right on the ocean, and it has great academics. 50% acceptance rate.

Milton, Concord, and Hotchkiss are all pretty competitive.
