More than 10 schools - FAFSA

I have to send my FAFSA to more than 10 schools, but the limit is 10 schools I guess... So, I chose 10 schools, sent in the FAFSA, & waited until it was processed, and now, I deleted all those 10 schools in order to send my FAFSA to the rest of the schools. I'm a little worried about the deleted schools... Will they still receive my info?? I mean, will they try to access my info from the FAFSA website and then not find it because I deleted them? Or will they have a copy of the application already stored as soon as I sent it in??

Yes, they will. Since it was processed and received by those universities, you can be sure that it is on file.

I have the same concern. Th gov FAQ seems to suggest that you can delete and add. But I’m not sure what they’re assuming about when colleges access the SAR.

The FAQ also says that you add/delete afteryou get theemail about the SAR … but when you update uou don’t get a SAR email.

So it’s all clear as mud to me!

^same here, I feel like I have no idea how the FAFSA thing works:(

Ah…So then, what does “deleting” a college from your list do if they still retain your application???

That’s what I’ve been wondering too (though for no apparent reason at all)! Because what if you sent your FAFSA to a school by accident - you can’t even delete the college from the list to withdraw?

You must wait for your application to process before deleting schools. If deletion occurs beforehand, then yes, the application may never reach the desired universities. It is possible to find out if your FAFSA has been processed and received by [Clicking Here](http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/FOTWWebApp/follow003.jsp) and entering your personal information if you have already submitted one.

sigh I still only see ten schools. Guess the rest were never processed. Oh well.
