I'm sure this is a fairly common question so I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but for the FAFSA if you have applied to to more than 10 schools (in my case 13) how do you/can you add those final three?

File with the 10. Wait a couple days until you get the notification that it's been processed, then do a FAFSA correction. Delete the 10, add the 3. Resubmit.

Remember that later when you do another FAFSA correction to include your actual income and tax numbers, that you may need to do it twice to include all colleges (if they're still in the running).

Once their processed though even if you delete them the college's will still have them on record right? I'd just have to add the college's again later once my parents get all their updated tax info, correct?

Right. Submit with 10, wait then do a correction deleting the 10 and inserting the 3. Submit. You've not submitted to 13.

Just to add a bit-- FAFSA will call each of these submissions a transaction. When you log onto the FAFSA web site you will see transaction 1 and transaction 2. If and when you have corrections, additions, etc. to make, you will need remember to make the corrections to both transactions. It feels like deleting, but it's not really deleting in that the original schools don't disappear.

i had this question too. i just want to make sure that when you add your extra colleges to the list and submit it as a correction, you still will be able to make another correction later after your taxes are filed, right?
