more than 30 AP credit = sophomore?

Hello. Can i ask something about AP credit. I will take 10 AP classes if I count senior year. Because my high school is very competitive and great magnet high school(usnews.com gold metal Top20), I took:

AP US (10th grade) - got 5 - 6 hrs. credits
AP EURO (11th) - got 5 - another 6 hrs. credit, not same one with AP US
AP LANG (11) - got 5 - 6 hrs. credit
AP Chem (11) - got 5 - 8 hrs. credit
AP GOV/POLITIC half year class + economic (12) - may get 4 - 4 or 5: 3 hrs credit
AP PHYSIC (12) - 4 or 5 - 4 hrs credit if I take Physic C or 8 hrs credit If I take Physic B.
AP Literature (12) - duplicate with AP English - no credit if I summit AP Lang score.
AP Statistics (12) - absolutely can get 3 - score 3,4,or 5 : 3hrs. credit
AP Spanish Lang (12) - may get 3(?) - 3: 4 hrs. credit/ score 4 and 5: 8 hrs. credit
AP Cal AB (12) - cannot take BC (school policy: after finishing AB, can take BC) - can get 3, or 4 - score 3,4,5 : 7 hrs.

= expect credit: until 11th grade: 26 credits
= If I expect senior year AP score : 21 credits to 29 credits
Total: 26+21 to 26+29 = 47 credits to 55 credits.

I heard that If I get above 30 to 40m I can get in like sophomore class but classify as freshman. It means I can graduate early?? I sent e-mail to the college and got the answer that I need 120 credit hours to graduate.

(I saw the college website which I want to go and can go more than likely.-B college. due to scholarship and financial aid.-tuition waiver + half of dormitory and book)

If you know something about AP credit, Please help me~

I’m curious about how you’re assigning credit hours. And the last few paragraphs in your post are more than slightly incomprehensible. It is possible to enter college as a sophomore because of AP credit, but different schools have different policies about what AP scores they will accept and how many credits total they will allow to count toward graduation.

I am also curious how you are assigning credit hours. For instance I would not expect US history to count for more than 3 credit hours.

The number of credit hours you receive will depend on each school and their policies. Some schools will not give credit hours all for APs. Some may for some classes and not for others. And of course the number of credit hours will only speed up graduation if they are credit hours that will count toward graduation as either required or elective hours. Each degree has a specific list of classes that are required for graduation. If you have 55 credit hours, but only 25 count toward your degree then the other 30 will not speed up your graduation.

I also didn’t understand the last few paragraphs of your post.

I contacted the school I will enroll and got the link about AP credit.

It looks like you are talking about a speciific school when you refer to college credits based on each subject - Kind of sounds in line with Johns Hopkins except they dont seem to list any credits for subjects like History.

[Johns Hopkins University Office of Undergraduate Admissions - Apply - AP/IB/Other Credit Information](http://apply.jhu.edu/apply/apib.html)

basically, if you’re a national ap scholar with tests in math, science, history, and english you will probably be allowed sophomore status depending on the policies. Some schools are very strict and give very little credit though
