Morehead-Cain

December 17th was supposed to be the day that UNC’s Admissions notified applicants from out of state, who do not go to a nominating school, to apply for the scholarship. Did anyone get invited? If so, did they contact you through email or regular mail?

I was invited by email, and I’m OOS. My question is how often are people nominated? Is it worth taking the time to fill out the application or am I competing against thousands of OOS applicants.

We were hoping to hear…but didn’t. I wish we could have yours! I don’t think that they nominate that many, only about 40, but they are added to the pool that has already been selected from the other two methods (self nominating in-state and OOS nominating schools). Winning the Morehead is definitely worth any effort spent!

Wow only 40, that’s awesome. I will definitely apply for that. Any idea how many people in total are nominated through the other methods of nomination?

Here’s last year’s post about the numbers:

When did you get your email? …still hoping

I got it friday, I just read on there website that they said they’d send them out on friday when I got it. Thanks for the link, good luck.
