Good luck to all applicants seeking to become the newest Men of Morehouse.
@NuScholar Thanks for starting this thread. I am still surprised that my son has Morehouse at the top of his list because I have always thought he would choose to not to go where his Dad and Godfather went (that still could happen). He is excited for Dec. 15th decision to come and I will be excited only if the financial aid package says that Morehouse is affordable.
As an African-American, I’m very much invested in what goes on at HBCUs. I think it’s important for African-Americans to at least entertain the idea of attending HBCUs because I do feel the are the “safest” spaces for black young minds to grow.
Morehouse is one of my favorite HBCUs and I’ve seen so many ambitious and impressive men come out of this institution.
I heard Morehouse reserve the best scholarships for students in the top 10% of the incoming class so hopefully this year he hits that mark. Also Oprah just donated like extra $10 million to Morehouse for the Oprah Scholars program so hopefully he can get that as well … I think it pays for everything. @ChangeTheGame

Morehouse Admissions Twitter sent a message saying to watch out for email. My son checked his portal and he has been accepted. I think about all of the great memories and people I met while attending Morehouse (wife, best friends, and found my purpose as a black man) and get excited that my son might make that same choice. But no pressure from me:)
Our son was accepted and will be attending. All of our kids got into their first choice so us old folks are happy soon to be empty nesters. Looking forward to meeting you @ChangeTheGame
No doubt on meeting up @PossePops. I had to stop myself from breaking out “Dear Old Morehouse” on my son.
