Morewood E Tower!

Hooray my first choice! And now that it is mine, I'm wondering what kind of entertainment is in there? Like how many TV's (one per floor, or is there one lounge where they all are), and pool tables?

I think there might be TVs in some of the lounges in E-Tower - there wasn’t one on my floor, but I do recall the 6th floor having one, I think? There’s a big TV down on the 3rd floor on the Morewood Gardens side, though.

No pool tables - you’d have go to the UC or other dorms like Donner for that. Morewood’s an awesome dorm for many reasons, but it does lose in some aspects.

I was wondering how you found out the housing information so early?

Login to your SIO, Put mouse over finance so drop down menu shows up, click on student account activity, and it should list as a charge.

I’ll just hope my roommate (whoever it is) brings a tv.

Thanks! I got into Morewood E too!! Second choice but still happy!

What other amenities does Morewood E have? Are there any other things I should be looking forward to (or not looking forward to)?

I lived in E tower freshman year. Free laundry on every floor, 3-4 showers per floor so it’s never really a traffic jam, vending machines in the hallway from Morewood Gardens. There is not a pool table in E tower, but there is definitely one downstairs in the Underground.

Free laundry on the floor = awesome. A lot of other dorms will not have this, so consider yourself very lucky. After living in Donner for a summer session, I can reaffirm that this is indeed one of the best features of Morewood.

Also look forward to food in your building! Yes, the Underground really has not-so-great food…but when it’s snowing and you just want some dinner, you don’t have to leave the building! Really, really nice.

Also, during finals, the Underground is open 24/7 and there is free coffee from 8 PM to 8 AM. I am living in Morewood Gardens this coming year, and while I’m not overall super excited about it, I’m not gonna lie - I’m pretty excited about still having free coffee in the building during finals.

How did you find out?

Join the facebook group for Morewood E tower 2011-2012 if you haven’t already. People will be there to answer any questions you have. I’m an OC there next year. Should be fun =]

Does E Tower have an elevator?

There’s an elevator from the 3rd floor up. There is an elevator from the ground floor, which they’ll let you use to move in and move out at the very end of the year, but otherwise you can’t use it unless you’re injured.
