last sunday i woke up at 7 and did a full practice test timed. i was surprised to see results in some subjects that were lower than what i usually get. later that day as i redid the problems i got wrong, i noticed they were fairly not as hard as i was thinking they were in the morning. so heres what i think is happening. im not fully focused/awake in the mornings which can be a good 150 point difference in my overall performance. im always doing well on practices like after school and such but in the mornings im still a bit dazed. what can i do to fully awaken myself and get my mind working straight? and no its not from lack of sleep, the trouble is from recovering from that sleep. any ideas?

for practice test? >> do them later in the day, or wake up earlier
for real test? >> no other choice, wake up earlier

that’s what I do too on the real test day (well, apart from being so anxious I can’t sleep)
Hope this helps. Oh, and a good cup of coffee too

Go asleep much earlier. Studies show that people sleep in cycles, so try waking up a while before you actually need to get up (I believe 90 minutes), going back to sleep, and then getting up. You may find yourself more awake after that.

Eat a good breakfast. Coffee can help as long as you don’t crash during the tail end of the test.
