Can International students apply for this scholarship?
@Quanh261997 I’m not sure. You should check on thw website for any details though your application and the essay needs to be submitted by the end of today.
Did you get an application received email from Ohio State after you applied? I sent in my common app application portion yesterday but I never received a confirmation email from Ohio State so I’m worried my scores or transcript didn’t process or something?
@gigglebot3 the common app sent me a confirmation but OSU didn’t. I received my login from OSU 2 days from then. You can check your status once you receive your buckeye login to make sure they’ve receieved everything.
I applied for Morrill and State Scholars as well!
@gigglebot3 - I applied back in Sept. Received a login and have logged in a few times. I haven’t seen any demands for missing items…neither have I seen any progress on the application yet.
Yes, sorry for the late response, I’m assuming there was a huge backlog applying literally on 11/1, but I did get confirmation and everything seems to be in order. Now we wait…
Does the Morrill notification come well after our admissions decision?
@saberchild - That is what the admissions rep informed me when I spoke to them recently.
I think we won’t find out until February probably.
My son got an email saying, “After careful review of your Common Application and supporting documents, we are delighted to inform you of our decision to offer you a place in the Ohio State Scholars Program for autumn semester 2016.”
He applied for Morrill Scholars and Honors so not sure what State Scholars is? Is it different than Morrill Scholars? Is there any scholarship associated with it?
@DSNJ2016 He got into the Scholars Program instead of Honors.

I don’t think there are any scholarships associated with it though I could be wrong. More info is on the website. It is extremely different from Morrill and you can receive both.
@Chopinspiano Thanks for your reply! He did select the Scholars as a priority over Honors while filling out his application. Are there any requirements to be apply for Morrill - like an essay or a separate application? I was hoping for some Merit Aid from OSU, especially since they are offering him a place in the Scholars program but have not heard anything.
@DSNJ2016 Merit is slowly coming out. Morrill requires an essay. If he did not do it on the Common App he can still submit it. There’s a page for it on the OSU website.
